These tweets are part of a larger story that unfolded through an alternate-reality game. In the story, through the beginning of 2018, the twitter feed was run by a young, idealistic member of a secret society, who believed that knowledge should be shared. After Oct. 5th, she was removed, and more conservative and control-minded members of the society took over, so the feed needed to reflect that ominous shift.
